Offline Learning Ideas
1. Have student teach you or someone in the home how to say some of the sentences learned in French class.
2.Scavenger hunt! Have student look at labels of products around the house. Tell them to make a list of the words they've seen before and 3 new words each day. Have them read the English description and if they can read some of the French.
3. Similar to the idea above, have students examine labels found on products in the home such as food products. Have them make a list of words they find that have the same spelling in English as they do French.
4.Have student draw a picture of a person or animal. Have them describe picture in French (colours used, size, where they live, etc.)
5. If movies, television or radio are available in French, have student watch/listen to a part. Have them make a list of words they understood or communicate them verbally. When possible, have them summarize what they heard.
